Sorry, I feel quite unwell so will try to answer a few questions at the
same time.
The Nyquist plug-ins I wrote are collected in a single zip file, plug
separate individual zip files at www.shellworld.net/~davidsky/plug-ins.htm
, follow the directions on that site. If you are unsuccessful unzipping
any file(s) there, you can email me and I'll send what you want as an
attachmment. Not sure when I'll be online again.
If you want to install VST plug-ins, you also need to copy the so-called
VST enabler, from www.audacityteam.org/vst Put in the sam3 place, the
Audacity plug-ins folder. This might be different for a Mac, so if you
need further help, subscribe to the regulsar Audacity users group:

Regarding file formats for making CD - best files to use are stereo
44,100hz .wav files. Any other stuff about making a CD and I'm out to
lunch, best to also ask about this on the regular Audacity users list
above.
To apply an effect, you need to first select some or all audio loaded into
Audacity, then choose the effect you want from the effecfts menu. It's
kinda of like after you write somehing in text in a word processor and
then you want to change the font or size of some or all of the text, you
first need to select the text you want changed. If you don't select any
audio in Audacity before you apply an effect, you'll be unable to use any
of the effects.
Also, unlike VST plug-ins in which you need the VST enabler, you don't
need any additional software to run Nyquist plug-ins (they have a .ny file
extension.
