My point is that it is already a screen reader guide rather than a
guide for a single product.
Audacity is open source, and so is NVDA and Orca.
VoiceOver is integrated into OS and WindowEyes is also free under
certain circumstances (with MS Office).
JAWS on the other hand is very expensive--in my country at least. It
doesn't matter if I can have it for free, in the end the public will
pay the difference (same with VO and WE of course).
I'd like to have a guide that covers free and commercial screen
readers and also the three major platforms.
It should reflect the fact that Audacity can be used on different
systems with different screen readers and possibly some issues and
workarounds with the individual products.
We have about 25 instances where something like "JAWS says/tells you"
is in the text.
I think it would be more pleasant if an Apple user can read "VoiceOver
says/tells you" instead.
There are also some instances where you have to use some kind of trick
to read with VO some control or content.
See e.g. the recent post about selecting a time range.
Here, your experience would be very helpful.

I have not read the latest version of your guide, but up until now I have
had no problems converting the JAWS keystrokes to Voiceover or NVDA.
But that is just my opinion.

There's probably not even the necessity to give them their own page.
Maybe an appendix for the differences or info boxes in between.
I think a Voiceover and Orca version are not indicated momentarily, as
long as the accessibility is somewhat restricted and buggy.
However, if one wants to volunteer, what done is done and updating
would be much easier if a start has been made.
Two little issues:
I would remove the dots at the end of the TOC entries or include them
in the link. They are always spoken with my screen reader.
There's a typo under creating a label (last word below):
Quote start
• Either choose one of them from the Tracks menu, or press its
keystroke. If the focused track isn't a label track, then the first
label track below this track becomes the focused track, if such a
track exits.

Of course, I've only briefly glanced over it and there might other
suggestions come in future.
Still the most comprehensive screen reader guide for Audacity on the
planet.
