To save a file for your computer you have to use the File >
Export... command. When you get to the Export File window,
you have to choose the folder you want to save in, the file
name and the format of the file.

If you want to export an MP3 you need to add the optional
LAME library to your computer. If you have not done that yet,
please follow these steps:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame .
