[audacity4blind] Re: Can't record at all with any mixer

And, what hosts are showing up?

Ask since, I have like 3 audio hosts showing up - windows wasapi, for loopback recording, MME, and microsoft directsound, and they might show up different recording devices, etc.

But, like said, sorry, but, my current primary laptop only has a microphone, so can't play around with looking for line-in on this machine.

Hi.
I've inserted it now.
it is rezognised as usb audio codec.
I can only select microphone in the codec. nothing more.
The line is just for the realtek card.

I'd still say check out the sound card settings, just in case - as in,
it's possible the line-in is muted by default, and that goldwave handles
that in the background.

In audacity, what is your audio host set to?  That could also affect
which recording devices show up, but, if you try changing those, then
first also make mental notes about initial values...<smile>

Hi.
when using goldwave I can select line in as record device. not audacity.
strange.

Sound card settings? Make sure line-in is available, etc., but, don't
think you want to generally turn on the listen to it option, or else you
might be hearing it's output all the time, but, you might want to play
around with that to see if it's operating/working as such.

Unfortunately, current primary machine doesn't have one of those, so
can't giv3e you more details, but anyway.

Hi.
I want to have line.in, but that option do not show up in audacity.
I can set line in as standard in windows, but when i record i get
nothing.

In audacity, on the transport toolbar, which device is set as the
input/recording device?

Hi.
I got a mixer before that I plan to use at home.
I could record fine with that one.
but now I cannot record anything.
I have the mixer connected to the line in of my computer.
but when I try to record... nothing  at all.
do you have any solution?
