I don't know which one you want. Here are links to both the new one and
the quite old one.

The new one deals both with Audacity 2.x and with Mp3 Direct Cut. The
link is:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/25812011/Audacity%20And%20Mp3%20Direct%20Cut.zip
The old one deals with an old version of Audacity. It covers at least one
topic not covered in the new presentation. That is, it covers how to
change the speed of a file. the information on changing the speed applies
to the new version of Audacity as well as to the old one. It either
applies exactly as described or needs very little modification.
Here is the link to the old presentation.

Greetings Gene,

Forgive me but I have lost your audio tutorial of intro to Audacity.

Probably deleted it by accident and have too emptied out my 'deleted
items'
folder at this stage.

It was a great demo indeed so could you please repost, so good it could be
sent twice.

Keep up your great work.

Best,

Tony Sweeney

My message said the file is a zip file. Did you download it and extract
the
files?

Here is the link to download a zip file containing both my Sound
Recorder presentation and the Sound Recorder program.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/25812011/Audacity.zip
I said a few days ago that there is a focus problem with the older
version of the program I am discussing, the one that works with the wav
format.

For a time, I had thought the problem might be limited to my computer
but I've since tried the program on two computers and see a similar
problem.
I'm not recommending or not recommending this program. I find it very
annoying to use because of the focus problem but I find it even more
annoying to prepare notes and speak from them. others may have very
different opinions.

In essence, What I like about the program is that I can record as
though I were using a tape recorder. That is, I can go back and
record over what I've recorded. the program works like a tape
recorder which allows you to rewind and record over something. but,
as I said, there is a very annoying focus problem which is a serious
detraction.
