Hi Vitor

No, you cannot use virtual instruments with Audacity.  Some DAWs you can, but
not Audacity, at least at this stage.  It is only fairly recently that Audacity
could play midi files.

Subject: [audacity4blind] Audacity with virtual instruments

Hi list.

I was thinking if Audacity had the possibility of installing virtual
instruments. For instance, I have a keyboard and I find an interesting sounding
VST piano. Can Audacity see it as a virtual instrument and can I record midi
data via Audacity like it happens with other daws that have a midi
editor/sequencer, or can Audacity just recognize vsts such equalizers and not
virtual instruments? Best regards.

Vitor
