Hi Angelo,
as Andrew has already suggested, the jaws script keystrokes alt + left
bracket and alt + right bracket do not work with the latest versions of
Audacity. The selection toolbar has been changed, and the Jaws script would
have to be updated for this change.
I can't reproduce any problems using the left bracket and right bracket
keys when playing.

Hi Angelo
You said the left and right brackets “are not really working”. In what
situation(s) are they not working? When not playing, pressing left or
right brackets (the two keys to the right of p) a dialog with a string of
numbers should appear. When playing they should set the beginning and end
of selection respectively but nothing will be reported by the screen reader.
Re alt+left and right brackets, they are not default Audacity keys.

Well I upgraded to Audacity 3.3.2, and when I try editing the [, and] keys
they are not really working, and alt+ [, and alt + ] doesn’t work at all.
Are there some settings I need to change?
