Hi Thomas,
unfortunately nothing has changed since you described the accessibility
problems on the Mac OS. I know it's unsatisfactory, but we just have to
wait till there is a developer with the time, inclination and a Mac
computer to look at this.

Hi David!

Do you know if anything has changed since the last build I mentioned here
on the list regarding accessibility on Mac OS?

Everytime I test Audacity it replaces my configurations, so therefor I
don't get to testdrive it too often at the moment.

I know we are a few mac users on here, would it be great if we could
produce some specific issues we have when working with Voiceover and
audacity on Mac OS? Or how can we help developers out so accessibility can
be better on Mac OS?
There are features in this version of Audacity I would love to use, but
due to accessibility issues I can't. The main issue for me now is that the
track tabel is not possible to use with Voiceover on Mac OS. The tracks can
be seen, but when arrowing up or down nothing is spoken. If it would work
to use the Voiceover commands (voiceover + up or down arrow) that would be
ok for the moment, since that would allow tracks to be spoken. As it is
now, the track is spoken, but the focus in Audacity doesn't follow the
keyboard even when Voiceover is set to move keyboard focus when navigating.

Best regards Thomas

considerably later than anticipated, there are now versions of Audacity
2.1.3 available for testing. If no serious bugs are found, then these will
become the release versions. Those of you are interested are encouraged to
test them out.

Windows installer:

Windows zip:

Mac dmg, though this is almost certainly not very accessible:

Please note that in 2.1.3 the default shortcut for "Play/stop and set
cursor" has been changed from Shift+A to X.

A provisional version of my Jaws guide for this version is available at:
