Hi Cuong,
I've added nothing to the guide, but I've taken out the warnings about the bug
with cut preview on Windows 7 and earlier. Nearly all the work on 2.1.2 was
behind the scenes stuff, rather than new features.
best wishes,
David.

Hi David
You said that there aren't many changes in the guide, but I'd like you to
give the details about things you added to the guide.
I'm the main editor of a Vietnamese Blind Technology magazine, and I want to
include news about new Audacity release, also include your guide for it,
like I did in previous releases of the magazine.
Thank you.
Cuong

Subject: [audacity4blind] Audacity 2.1.2 released
Audacity 2.1.2 was released at the end of last week, and a link to the
download for the Windows version is:
http://www.fosshub.com/Audacity.html/audacity-win-2.1.2.exe
As far as accessibility is concerned, there's both good and bad news.
The good news:
1. Windows 7 and earlier, pressing C to play cut preview now always simply
works.
2. For those who use the label editor, you can now use it to move to
labels again.
The bad news:
1. there's a problem with NVDA not reading pressed keys in these cases:
a. In the time controls on the selection bar.
b. Anywhere in the main window, then if the keystroke is an Audacity
shortcut, then the keystroke is not read out.
c. In a label track, when typing in a label name, key presses are not
read.
2. After applying a chain, the focus does not properly return to the main
window. A work around to restore the focus is to press ctrl+p to open
preferences, and then press enter to press the default ok button.
For Mac users, the recommended version remains the accessible version of
2.1.1:

I've update my Jaws guide, but there aren't many changes:
