In my ongoing adventures with my new atreus, I've discovered the qmk
firmware. It provides some nice features not currently available in the
'official' atreus firmware, or the upstream tmk firmware. Unlike the
upstream tmk firmware, it (mostly) supports the atreus. I say 'mostly'
because it claims to support the upload option from the atreus Makefile,
when that doesn't appear to be the case. But that's a minor thing.
My questions for Phil and the group:
- are there any plans to migrate features from qmk or tmk into the
- would it make sense to switch to qmk as the 'standard' atreus
firmware, given it appears to be more actively developed, at present,
than tmk, and includes support for atreus? I understand the tmk guy
doesn't want to maintain atreus-specific code, understandably.
- or perhaps the plan is for the existing atreus firmware fork to serve
as a stable baseline, with more adventurous folk playing with qmk?
I'd be happy to contribute, either to qmk or atreus, whichever makes
