Hello folks!
I'm considering offering a new option with the Atreus kits. For folks
who are concerned about their soldering ability, I am planning to start
selling kits where the controller and diodes are already presoldered
into the PCB and the firmware is loaded in.
Assembling a presoldered kit would still require soldering the switches
in, because this can't be done until after the finishing on the case is
done. But this part of the assembly is much easier to do than soldering
the controller, and it's nearly impossible to mess up. In fact, it's so
easy that a child could do it--I took a video of my 8-year-old son
soldering the switches and hope to edit it down to a time-lapse so you
can see what it's like.
Anyway, I would like to hear from folks about whether this is something
they would be interested in, or would have been interested in if it were
an option when they bought their kit. The additional fee for a
presoldered kit would probably be $30. Thoughts?
