I have ported this over to TMK and made further improvements, I now have keys I
am trying to figure out what to do with :-)

Cool; I can tell you've put a lot of work into this. If you decide to
make it work with TMK at some point feel free to submit a pull request
and we can include it in the main repo. I would like to include more
choices and examples of customization there.
