Once this patch get get merged upstream, will it eventually be
straightforward to use Kaleidoscope on the classic one instead of QMK?
It will work fine to use Kaleidoscope except for the fact that reset
doesn't work. You will have to open it up and do a hard-reset with the
state the firmware is currently in if you want to update or replace
Kaleidoscope; I haven't heard back about a fix for this yet but it is a
known issue.
