I've had a similar issue on my Macbook. It's an infrequent occurrence, and
I haven't spent the time to try to reproduce--I just unplug/replug my
keyboard and move on. I know it has happened both when connected through a
USB hub and when connected directly to the Macbook.

I run into this problem as well, on a MacBook Air. I never investigate it
as it seems to work again after unplugging other devices. It very well
could be a vendor/product ID issue. Next time I see it occur, and have some
