I know that bone conduction = is used pretty widely for those with conductive (middle ear) deafness, but beyond that, there's been very little use made of it. I'll see if I can find out more. One thing that intrigues me, is the = fact that you would have the signal from the normal ear, plus that from the conductive system, both going into the cochlear at the same time. I = don't know for sure, but I suspect that if you had two people talking at the = same time, you might get the cocktail party affect, where you subconciously filter out all but one speaker.
