Hi Geoff,

I found it easy to join the list. It has been set up well.

The one suggestion I have for change would be to remove the
"[astcq-discuss]" preface from the subject line. The "To" email field (which
always contains "astcq-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx") can be used instead to either
identify or filter any messages from the list, if necessary.

Thanks for the feedback, Gerry. You suggestion was one I thought of, but
I've found that different people use mailing lists in different ways. Some
people will often CC a list, and then that rule (To:) doesn't pick up the
message. What the list managment software is providing is a definite tag
that will never change. If a member replies to a message after having
removed the subject line preface, the list management software automatically
adds it back in. From my experience, this is the only way to be sure of a
rule that catches the posts.

If the subject line preface is too long, I will be happy to shorten it,
perhaps [astcq].

Regards

Geoff Purchase
