First, I'd change December 31, 2019 to 2020. Second, I'd change July 2018 to
whatever date in 2019. Finally, the contract raises the issue of what
happens if you don't get paid. You can remain silent on this issue, but it
is likely that a court will require you to pay for the hours anyway.
Alternatively, you could give yourself a written grace period, like "If 60
days has elapsed from the date that EAA is to be paid under a contract, and
no payment has been made, EAA will pay to the associate the amount owing to
him/her.
That way you do have a specified time period for not paying the associate in
such a case.
