[askdba] Resolved [dba_gurus] ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

Hi everyone,
Thanks for everyone who replied for this.
It was a different error. I logged in my NOvel Netware and from there using
Remote desktop connection I'm logging to another server, there I didnt have
administrator privilege. I realized this, yesterday , gave a try today and got
it right.
While, DB creation, it flashed some error "ORA-04031: unable to allocate 2196
bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","..", I will look into it
The DB was created successfully.

I'm creating a DB thru OEM's DBCA in Novel netware, Oracle 8.1.
First it creates and starts an instance
Second it tries to create the database files, now this ORA-12560 error flashes.
How can I resolve this error?
I checked the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora, the only difference was it was not
with complete domain name, so I edited that also, re-started that
listener..still this error persists.
When I tried to manualy execute those files, am not able to secure 'connect
internal'?
Pls shed some light on this.
