hi Dan,
apprently, it seems the problem of .bash_profile only.
if your both the users are in same group/s (oracle and another one with whi=
ch developer want to acess) then mv the .bash_profile of developer user to =
some else, then copy the .bash_profile of oracle to this developer user
the task you were accomplishig by oracle same can be carried by other one.
if the developers want to write on linux box from some other remote client =
say window you can use xmanager (a gui tool) which will give them linux gui=
screen on their windows box, putty (a character tool) can be used to carry=
out command line arguments..
