What is the Oxford Global Languages project?
The Oxford Global Languages (OGL) programme from Oxford Dictionaries supports
the use of digitally endangered languages online. OGL will create interactive
websites for 100 languages, including Hindi, that will include a dictionary
search function and non-lexical content such as language themed articles,
games, quizzes, and blog posts.
Freelance writer/copy-editor
Role
* Writing/copy-editing short, accessible (=non-academic) articles in
Hindi for the OGL Hindi site
Description of work
* The aim of the articles: supporting (native) Hindi speakers in their
everyday language use
* Topic examples: improving your general writing skills, writing a
speech, how to choose the right word for the context, etc.
* Article length: 500 words
Duration
* Approx. 2 hours of work per article written, approx. 1 hour of work per
article copy-edited
* Because this is freelance work, deciding how much and how often to
write/copy-edit is up to you.
Remuneration
* We pay for each article you write/copy-edit. Please get in touch for
