Went to the field today and met with the mechanics about 9am. They thought
there was a good chance Blue Tow would be ready about noon. Had my ship
assembled and ready to go about noon when we saw the Blue Tow roll back
into the hanger. Blue Tow is now suspected to have a problem with one of
the cylinders. After a de-rig I swung back by the hanger for an update and
the mechanics were just beginning to remove the cowling from Blue Tow. So
nothing new to report and that is when I headed for home.
Red Tow still did not fly! On the ground test run on the engine the
electric fuel pump failed to operate . Red Tow still needs a break in
flight on engine. Also Red Tow has a radio that is inop with some wiring
issues. Red Tow sitting in the hanger with panels open when I left.
I think I may have got up on the wrong side of the bed today as not much
went right today.
