Sorry to hear you are losing your job, but it sounds like you have that
handled. Like Larry I have really enjoyed following your flights on OLC.
With your detailed notes, it was almost like being on the flight. I too
learned a lot from reading your notes. Hope to see you in Moriarty. It's
a great place to fly gliders and there a lots of nice people there..

I will definitely miss seeing you at ASI. I often tell budding XC pilots
how there's a pyramid of XC pilots and yours is one of the names I list
when talking about the apex.
I'll also miss reading your detailed OLC remarks. I've learned from them.
When you get to Moriarity, could you send a report? Maybe I'll pack up the
RV and join you for a while.
I'd be happy to take over the list if you send me the info. Thanks for
setting it up.

So I know everybody was tired of hearing me cry wolf about how my
job won't last. Well, apparently the virus panic was the last straw and
they decided to shitcan everybody except the CEO and CTO. As of this
upcoming Tuesday, I'm unemployed. It's not awful as I have plenty of
savings or a huge surprise as I expected this to happen at some point
later this year anyway, the virus panic simply pushed up the timeline.
Anyhow, it's had it's moments but I'm planning on moving out of
Reno in May and moving to Moriarty. Especially with all the lockdowns, I
doubt I'll have another opportunity to fly here before I go.
On a practical note, does anybody want to take over as the
administrator of this mailing list or should I simply shut it down?
There's really not much to it outside of accepting join requests.
