Dear Neeraj,

It gives us immense pleasure to share with you that Tribal Development
Department; Government of Maharashtra has started a three-year initiative,
“Science- A way of life”. The project focuses on improving science education at
middle school level by providing multiple inputs including intensive teacher
training and providing hands-on science kit for experiential learning in the
classroom.

As part of this project, the Tribal Development Department is conducting first
teacher training for middle school and high school science teachers in
association with Eklavya Foundation from 22nd to 28th December 2017, wherein
first day is for academic preparations. Around 150-160 teachers from almost
75-80 schools will be participating in this program. Four training batches of
35-40 teachers each would be conducted in parallel, wherein a team of 4-5
resource persons would conduct the training. This training will focus mostly on
curricular issues linked to the areas these teachers need to transact in the
classroom. This training would be conducted at Prabodhini Institute, Amravati.

We invite Prof Kishore Pawar from the Higher Education department of Madhya
Pradesh to be a resource person for the training from 22nd December to 28th
December 2017.

This is to request you to allow Prof Pawar to attend the training as resource
person for this period. Tribal Development Department will bear all costs
related to his travel, stay and other related expenses. We would also request
Eklavya to follow this up with you, hence copying to Director, Eklavya.
