Agencies Present Webinar Today on Funding for Environmental Technologies
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Superfund
Research Program (SRP), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the
National Science Foundation (NSF) will present an October 3 webinar on “U.S.
Small Business Funding Opportunities (SBIR/STTR) for Environmental Technologies
at NIEHS SRP, EPA, and NSF.” This webinar will help small businesses and
academic researchers better understand the different agencies that fund
environmental technologies, and the fundamental goals of the Small Business
Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR)
programs. The SBIR and STTR programs are one of the largest sources of funding
for eligible U.S. small
businesses<https://www.sbir.gov/faqs/eligibility-requirements> to develop
innovative high technical risk technologies that have potential for substantial
commercial or societal benefits. This webinar, which is free and open to the
public, may be of interest to businesses developing innovative technologies for
detection and assessment of hazardous substances relevant to Superfund.
The webinar will be presented Monday, October 3, 2016, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
EDT, with the majority of the time to be dedicated to a Q&A session at the end
of the webinar. Please visit the EPA CLU-IN
website<https://clu-in.org/conf/tio/SBIRSTTR/> to register for this session and
for more information.
