Call for short proposals

The PETA International Science Consortium Ltd.<http://www.piscltd.org.uk/>
(PISC) and MatTek Corporation<http://mattek.com/> are offering 3D reconstructed
human tissue models – for free! MatTek’s human cell-based tissues—including
dermal, ocular, respiratory, intestinal, oral, and vaginal models—are used for
regulatory safety testing, product development, and basic research
applications. Researchers who can use MatTek tissues in their work are invited
to submit a brief (500 words or less) proposal for the manner in which they
would use MatTek tissues in either a new application (open to all) or an
existing application (open only to researchers who have not previously used
MatTek products). In total, $15,000 worth of tissue models will be awarded. The
application deadline is October 5, 2015. For application details, please visit
http://www.piscltd.org.uk/mattek-prize/.
