We are delighted to announce that we are again launching
Young Researcher awards for Asia and the Americas
With less than two months until nominations close for Lush Prize 2017 (24
July), we are extremely pleased to announce that we are again opening
nominations for regional Young Researchers in Asia and across the Americas.
This means that an additional £100,000 is available for up to five scientists
in reach region.
The Lush Prize is the largest annual prize fund to completely replace the use
of animals in toxicology research. We again have £350,000 to share amongst
projects across five categories of prize:

- working to replace animal tests

- training others in replacing animal tests

- for scientists aged 35 years or under, wanting to further a career in
non-animal testing
Public

- highlighting ethical and scientific objections to animal testing to the
public and other communities

- working for regulatory and legislative change to end animal testing
The extra £100,000 will fund up to five young researchers in Asia and five in
the Americas. Scientists in parts of Asia and Central and South America in
particular often find it difficult to access support for replacing animal tests
and this prize is designed to specifically support them.
Nominations close on the morning of Monday 24 July but don't delay getting your
nomination in! All nominations must be submitted through our website
