Free Webinar Series: Alternative Approaches for Acute Inhalation Toxicity to
Address Global Regulatory and Non-regulatory Data Requirements
This six-part webinar series will address current practices for acute
inhalation toxicity testing, looking towards the development and implementation
of alternative approaches to reduce and replace acute inhalation testing in
mammals for both global regulatory agencies and non-regulatory purposes.
The first webinar, presented by Drs Jon Hotchkiss (Dow Chemical Company) and
Ian Indans (Health and Safety Executive, UK), will cover current testing
practices and take place at 11am EDT on March 29th.
The second webinar, presented by Drs Annie Jarabek (US EPA) and Marianna Gaca
(British American Tobacco) will cover in vitro and ex vivo systems and take
place at 11am EDT on April 26th. Dates for additional webinars are forthcoming.
All the webinars are free and open to the public. Participants will only have
to register once and they will automatically be signed up for all six webinars.

The webinar series steering committee is comprised of members from government
and nongovernment stakeholder organizations including NICEATM, PETA
International Science Consortium Ltd., The Dow Chemical Company, Dow
AgroScience, Simulations Plus, Inc., European Union Reference Laboratory for
alternatives to animal testing (EURL ECVAM), the Netherlands Organisation for
Applied Scientific Research (TNO), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
