Yes, this is already known and fixed (though you would not normally
try that anyway since distributing a single or even two objects would
not have any effect anyway).

That is deliberate and not a bug. As mentioned in the manual, Blends,
Replicates and ClipViews always have group transparency, so you can
apply transparency to the them as a whole, but any transparency
applied to objects inside is ignored.
