You might think so! But families were often very large (8-15 children)
and it only takes a few generations of large families to produce a
very wide descendant tree (assuming a typical graphical representation
in horizontal mode). There are other ways of dealing with the problem
of course, but horizontal trees are an easy to follow representation.
I was looking for an easy/effortless way of dealing with such trees
and ArtWorks is (nearly!) the perfect solution.
