If it is not private, send the file to me and I can see what happens here on 
both ARMX6 and VRPC and report back to this list.  I don't remember Artworks 
crashing when I tried to load a multi-page PDF a few weeks ago, though I did 
not get very far with same.

I've sent two files back, one from VRPC on a Mac and one from ARMX6.

Both converted satisfactorily from the source PDF though the VRPC had this 
error: "Warning: Image with soft mask (alpha blending) imported as solid."

No crashing of ArtWorks here.  The conversions were fast.
