no the circle is still in viewed as'2D' - If a mould has been applied 
to, lets say a rectangle with a 5mm outline,use the perspectivize tool 
to change to 50mm height left to 20mm height right , which gives the 
illusion of depth (3D). Now the lines nearest (the front) should be 
thicker than the ones percieved to be further away and not uniform as 
is the case with outlines

(yes it is easy to in this case to inset a smaller rectangle and join 
the shapes but not so with complex shapes like text)
