Oops, nope, I misremembered the time scale here -- Redstone still had
vanes. It took a little while to make gimbaling work.
The one here at JSC is fun to walk around, the move both a jet vane and
external fin, in an analog world. Digital would probably be a much simpler
task to get a control loop working.
