I think this is where the problem occurs. The Virgin
firmware in the "superhub" is a modified version of the
usual Netgear version. I would suggest connecting the
computers to a network switch which itself is connected
to the "Superhub" so that the signals do not go through
the hub.

I'm going to keep this solution in mind, Alan. I know that
VM have their own web-based setup pages but I wasn't aware
that they had done anything to the 'internals' of the
