I think I'm getting somewhere at last. I just had a freeze, the third
today. I've always so far had the mouse and keyboard plugged into the
back USB sockets, which is more convenient in my cramped workspace,
but I had an off-list suggestion (thanks, you know who you are!) to
try the front sockets. When this freeze happened, I took the keyboard
lead from back socket to front, and the keyboard came to life. I then
had to do the same with the mouse lead, and that revived as well. So
I'll leave them there, and if freezes continue, I think I'll just have
to get a new keyboard and mouse. At the moment, the only thing plugged
in at the back is the scanner, which I don't use a lot. So far, when I
have used it, it always worked. It'll be a bit of a pain having to
plug USB sticks in at the back; I may have to reorganise the layout a
bit, or perhaps use a USB hub; would this have to be a powered one on
the ARMini?

Yes, so I don't think the problem is definitively sorted yet.

Many thanks again to everyone,

With best wishes,

Peter.
