Hello all, I'd like to invite each of you to an annual event for amateur radio operators. In 2000 I became interested in Amateur radio after reading about some of the newer digital modes of operation. Once a year amateur operators get together for a test weekend to sharpen radio skills and show off ham radio to the public. This years Field Day will be June 28-29 from 1:00 pm Saturday afternoon until 1 pm Sunday afternoon. Our group (UALR Amateur Radio club), gets together on a Parking deck on the UALR campus. I take my pop up camper and can sleep up to 6 people. Anyone can operate a station as long as another licensed operator is present. It's really a lot of fun making contacts all over the US and world via HF radio. Getting an amateur license has never been easier. If you think you might be interested in attending, let me know and I'll give you further details. If you'd like to learn more about amateur radio send me an email and I'll be happy to show you some of the newer things you can do with it and a computer. Tim
