Gentlemen,

 

Our esteemed cap maker Matt Harelson is making caps for the 40th reunion; they 
are $10 and as Chairman I’ve settled on the grey version if you scroll down 
below. Please let me know if you want a cap by responding to me at 
mbrophy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:mbrophy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>  I 
have also attached a spreadsheet with the folks I’ve heard from and the events 
they want to participate in at the reunion. BASEBALL is out, however there is a 
game on Sunday at Noon if you want to attend. Tickets are on you, shouldn’t be 
hard to get them at the Stadium. Team is very good and highly ranked. Please 
let me know if there are any changes you want to make concerning golf and the 
dinners.

 

We had to switch the Sands Club to Friday; cost will be $75 a person with wine 
included. Cocktails are on each guy attending and the venue is at the Football 
Stadium on campus 6PM to 9PM. We are back at “Contigo” for dinner on Saturday 
at La Paloma, cost TBD but expect it around $65 like last year. We will be 
collecting $$ for the dinners and caps; golf and lodging on up to each 
individual and I’m still trying to get some more rooms at La Paloma. Saturday 
at the U of A Football Stadium is the Cats Football Scrimmage open to the 
public; should be fun for those not golfing and rumor has it Gronk might 
attempt to break another Guinness World Record!

 

I will be sending out the payment information soon along with the address for 
Botelho’s on Thursday with times for that dinner and the dinner on Saturday. 
Please plan on bringing a six pack, bottle of wine or nice whiskey to 
Botelho’s! See you guys in a month!

Tim:  My run stitch idea doesn’t look so good.  Can we go back to the original 
satin stitch sewn letters but with the adjustment of moving the Pikes part of 
the logo in a little tighter like show in the comp?  Please go ahead and run

I don’t need them until late March and it will be a small quantity (might be 
less than 72).  Do you mind if it I run it on another style I was also thinking

but want to make some changes.  Could the block letter arched “ARIZONA” be done 
in just a run stitch outline?  How do you think that would look?  I would like 
to enlarge “PIKES” slightly and move it up just a hair.  Could we see that in a 
color comp on the 3935-069P if you have it in stock?  Also please add a stacked

Also, I’m going to want to make hats for my 40th Annual Reunion of the guys I 
went to school with at University of Arizona.  I know we’ve done a few 
different logos but I’m wondering if you could track down the one that had 
“ARIZONA” arched across the front in a run stitch?  I think it probably had 
“PIKES” underneath it but it was a really long time ago so I’m hoping you can 
locate that tape.  If so, I think I will request a couple of different samples 
with that logo on the front and then “40th ANNUAL REUNION” and TUCSON, AZ” 
stacked on the wearer’s left side.  I’ll take a look at hat styles while you 
see if you can find the tape.  No rush as the event isn’t until early April.
