Thanks for the responses last week - I have everyone updated as of your replies
through yesterday.
I'm looking for your input on Saturday night's group dinner. Two options to
propose
1) Dinner at a local restaurant in Ponte Vedra Beach (lots of good options very
close to the hotel), with open bar.
2) Minor League hockey, Jax Icemen vs Greenville Swamp Rabbits (we would have a
private suite at the arena with dinner). They also provide beer and wine for
the hour preceding the game, after that, open bar.
The local dinner would be in the $125 per person range, plus drink costs. The
hotel will provide transportation to local restaurants.
The hockey would be in the $175 per person range, including food, some beer and
wine, and transportation to and from the Arena in downtown Jacksonville.
I think I added voting buttons to the message, but this group email may disable

Also if you haven't made your hotel reservation, please do so. The hotel has

Ponte Vedra Beach.
Also, we've used up our initial allotment of rooms, but the hotel will extend
our $169/room deal for another batch of 10. Some of you on the list haven't

Some potential activities I'm working on:
TPC Sawgrass clubhouse tour followed by dinner Tasting tour at the St Augustine
distillery followed by lunch at the Fish Camp.
Golf at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club Ocean course (site of the 1936 Ryder cup) or
the TPC Sawgrass Valley Course. (Note if anybody wants to play the TPC Stadium
Couse, where they have the PLAYERS Championship, let me know - but it's super
pricey - I'll see if I can make arrangements.
Golf plus reception at The Yards, a 13 hole course (ironically, the starter
there is a Pike from George Mason U). Front 9 is regular set up, the final 4
holes are all par 3s, and can be used for a skins game if you'd like.
Dinner on the beach at the Lodge and Club.
Except for the distillery tour, everything is 5 minutes from the hotel, and the
hotel will provide transportation.
The quicker you can get your bookings in, the better I'll be able to know final
numbers for the activity options above.

Gentlemen,
The reunion committee has decided to take our annual gathering out of Tucson
after 3 years and go to Florida! Go figure as the Chairman and now Gary
Cunningham live here along with our brother Greg Achatz. Gregg will be taking
over Stan's duties of arranging just about everything since he lives in Ponte
Vedra Beach. Yes, we are going to a nice golf Suburb of Jacksonville Florida!
We will be staying at a very nice Hilton Garden Inn Sawgrass with a great Irish
Pub! Dates are lining up to be March 17th, Saint Pat's Day! thru the 20th of
March. It is after the big golf tournaments and should be spectacular weather.
We need to book at least 10 rooms to get a great rate of $169.00; golfing looks
great fro Friday and Saturday and two spectacular courses. NEED FOLKS TO
CONFIRM if they are coming and plan to golf. I know it is early but need an
idea for planning purposes. The Beach is close by for those non-golfers and
plenty to do in the area. I know it is a haul for those of you out West; just
think of Win Smith, Techau and myself coming from the East all these years.
Matt Harelson has promised to Host in Carlsbad in 2024!
