    targen -v -d2 -f 2142 -c CanoniPF8100.icc test

as does

    targen -v -g11 -d2 -m7 -f 2142 -c CanoniPF8100.icc test

Runs fairly quickly on my MSWin box. Exactly what is your command line ?
