that depends on whether someone ends up sponsoring it. There's no
technical advantage to using V4, so it's about convenience in being
able to interchange with other systems.
It also comes down to what you mean by "V4 support". As with many
formats, ICC allows a lot of flexibility in how profiles can be
constructed.
So minimal support is a quite a lot different to "full"support. Minimal
might be something like ArgyllCMS being able to create V4 profiles and
also be able to use its own profiles. "Maximal" support might amount to
years of work in re-writing core capabilities to allow for all the possible
ways a V4 profile could be constructed. A realistic practical V4 support
might
be to support most useful functions for popular V4 profiles. It's still a
bunch
of work that's hard to justify in terms of any change in functionality.
