It should be redundant if they use the ICC Profiles In X Specification
<http://www.burtonini.com/computing/x-icc-profiles-spec-0.2.html>. If
they don't follow this, then they will have some other way of
configuring color management.

If they don't follow this convention, I'd suggest reporting it
to the application authors as a bug.
