When I type "sudo spotread" some USB error appeared and i1Pro instrument played

After that (second attempt) nothing happens (program suspends).
Launching dispcalGUI (on new bin files) suspends too.

Hi,
Phil helped identify that it was ColorPort 2.0.1 that installs
the Daemon services. It too some more messing around to figure out
how to override them reliably.
You can try these updated versions:
that should work a bit better.

Now in any cases instrument doesn't work (i1Diagnostic suspends too).

Stop/start the X-Rite service, or unplug/re-plug the instrument.

[The way to avoid having to "sudo", is to change the X-Rite
Daemons to run as the user, rather than root.]
