there's no such thing as a "null" device profile. A device profile characterizes
a device (i.e. contains a model of its color response).
You can typically create a "null" color transform with a given CMM
by feeding it the same device profile as source and destination.
If a CMM is coded to recognize this configuration as special, then it will
even work for CMYK profiles, since it will skip the color conversions.
[ You can have a "null" device link profile, but few normal CMMs support
device links. ]
