Hi there, I'm new to Argyll, all I've done so far is measured an IT8.7 using Beta4 spotread. It was a couple of months ago, but I can't remember having any trouble using my i1 Pro after setting up the Udev rules for Debian Etch. I've now downloaded Beta6 to try to do a scanner profile using the Eye-One Pro Scan Target 1.4, so I thought I'd better just check that the device was working, I did spotread -ii1 outfile.txt and all I get is the usage info and back to the command prompt, same problem with printread, I did printread -n -a i1_RGB_Scan_1.4 as suggested in the Docs and also tried printread -n -a -ii1 i1_RGB_Scan_1.4 The results are the same for Beta4 and Beta6, nothing. Am I missing something in the command? If not, things that may have changed are: I've used the i1 on Windows using the latest i1match software and drivers. Updates to Etch??? udevmonitor gives the following output <when plugging the i1 in> UEVENT[1190525159.213671] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2 UEVENT[1190525159.214686] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/usbdev3.7_ep00 UDEV [1190525159.216187] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2 UEVENT[1190525159.216947] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0 UEVENT[1190525159.216995] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep01 UEVENT[1190525159.217010] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep82 UEVENT[1190525159.217022] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep03 UEVENT[1190525159.217034] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep84 UEVENT[1190525159.217045] add@/class/usb_device/usbdev3.7 UDEV [1190525159.319568] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/usbdev3.7_ep00 UDEV [1190525159.322182] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0 UDEV [1190525159.429322] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep01 UDEV [1190525159.437243] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep82 UDEV [1190525159.446483] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep03 UDEV [1190525159.454206] add@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep84 UDEV [1190525159.516154] add@/class/usb_device/usbdev3.7 </when plugging the i1 in> <when unplugging the i1> UEVENT[1190525231.630373] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep01 UEVENT[1190525231.630435] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep82 UEVENT[1190525231.630451] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep03 UEVENT[1190525231.630464] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep84 UEVENT[1190525231.630477] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0 UEVENT[1190525231.630490] remove@/class/usb_device/usbdev3.7 UEVENT[1190525231.630502] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/usbdev3.7_ep00 UEVENT[1190525231.630513] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2 UDEV [1190525231.635645] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep01 UDEV [1190525231.638142] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep82 UDEV [1190525231.640597] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep03 UDEV [1190525231.643032] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/usbdev3.7_ep84 UDEV [1190525231.645533] remove@/class/usb_device/usbdev3.7 UDEV [1190525231.649720] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/usbdev3.7_ep00 UDEV [1190525231.652392] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0 UDEV [1190525231.656075] remove@/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.2/usb3/3-2 </when unplugging the i1> thanks for any help Regards Andreas
