Always interesting to discover a new planet in our solar system :)
This does make it uncomfortable to buy naked instruments eg. on ebay.

Summarizing the resolution of this topic:
* The i1Pro2 in question seems to be a stripped down OEM instrument,
missing many of the i1Pro2 features. My guess is that it is an OEM
i1Pro Rev D replacement. The most noticeable limitations
are lack of Ambient measurement, and the presence of a UV filter.
Less visible differences are lack of a Wavelength Calibration LED,
lack of Zebra Ruler stripe support, and lack of UV illumination LED
(which would be useless anyway, given the UV filter.)
Anybody buying a second hand i1Pro2 might want to be aware
that some of these are floating around.
* ArgyllCMS V2.0.1 when released, will be able to work with the instrument.
