Hi All,
So I’m trying to create LUTs that will allow me to linearize a projector’s
output so I can use it for fringe-based 3D surface capture.
I’ve already gone the route of creating a full display model (LUTs, matrix,
white, black, …) but I want to try the brain-dead approach of creating a simple
one-to-one grayscale RGB to Y LUT.
To do this I hand-made the attached full_ramps.ti1 file that has 256 RGB
entries between 0-100 (excerpted below in case I can’t post attachments). When
I use this file with dispread, the measurements proceed nicely, but then
intermittently (more often than not) dispread finishes measuring, gives the
message “The instrument can be removed from the screen.” and then hangs, never
writing the .ti3 file.
Can anyone help me understand/fix this?
Thanks in advance,
-Jim Ferwerda
