Hi,
1) In v 2.1.1 spotread -a works ok, but dispread doesn’t recognize the -a flag
2) I updgraded to v 2.1.2 and now both spotread -a and dispread -a work, but
dispread was intermittently failing with the error
at first the failures seemed random so I suspected a cabling or usb
communication problem, but the problem persisted even after cable swaps and
reconnections. I then noticed that the failures appeared to be correlated
with the “brightest” patches in the .ti1 file (e.g. full R,G,B channels and
W).
3) To test the hypothesis that things were failing due to the big numbers, I
put a 0.6 (-2 stop) ND filter in front of the ambient sensor, and everything
ran fine. I also did tests using a 0.3 (-1 stop) ND filter (failures) and a
combination of 0.3 and 0.15 filters (-1.5 stops, only failures on full green
and full white), so this seems to confirm the hypothesis.
- Is this a known issue with measuring bright things using the CM and/or
dispread?
- Do you have recommendations for how to best characterize my system?
