Hi, When profiling a CMYK device there will be a large number of dark patches because the various levels of K need to be explored, so that the color of any level black separation can be predicted. The default OFPS is generally a good place to start, it's main weakness in V1.0.4 being that it doesn't place enough test patches on the gamut surface, and doesn't take any account of a provided profile. Another combination that may work well is to provide a previous profile and select a moderate amount of adaptive test point placement (-A0.2 say).
