What triggered all this trouble is that until recently, this file
wasn't being installed, so dispwin would use its built in ucmm.
Recently colord was update to ensure this file is being installed
(which is what was intented), but evidently other things have change
w.r.t colord since the code was developed and tested, and now dispwin
and colord don't work together properly. So if libcolordcompat.so really
isn't on your system, you shouldn't be seeing any issues.
I also checked argyllcms's sources, and I couldn't see it there
either.
It's not ArgyllCMS code, it's colord code.
