Hi,
updating colord installs the API library that dispwin will use to save
& restore
profiles using colord's database, rather than the fallback ucmm databse.
There is a report that the xiccd utility (that colord depends on in some way
that is not clear to me) has a bug, causing profile installation via colord to
fail.
Alexey Galakhov reports that xiccd 0.2.3 fixes this issue, so it would
be worth you seeing if this fixes your problem.
I have not seen any issues myself in this regard, when testing on
Argyll V1.8.3 with libcolordcompat.so installed on Fedora 24.
