I'm a fairly new user of argyllcms and, before asking my question, I'd
like to thank Graeme Gill for all his work and his constructive
presence in a number of color-related fora.
I'm working on Slackware 14.1 which uses ConsoleKit, but it compiles
it without the switch --enable-udev-acl, thus leaving me with the option
to access a usb colorimeter through the colord group.
I find that making the colord group, and adding my user to it, is
not enough to gain access to the attached usb device; colord must also
be installed and running.
Is colord a runtime dependency for argyllcms, or am I overlooking
something obvious?
